What Are Texas SAE Courses?
Texas SAE or Sales Apprentice Education courses are mandatory for newly licensed real estate agents during their first renewal cycle. The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires agents to complete a total of 270 hours of (Qualifying Education) QE real estate courses within two years of obtaining their license. (Your initial QE courses you completed to gain your license count towards to 270 hour total requirement.)
These courses build on the foundational knowledge you acquired during your Texas pre-licensing education. SAE courses focus on practical skills and advanced concepts that will enhance your ability to succeed in the real estate industry.
NOTE: As part of the 270 hour requirement, you must have completed the 30 hour Real Estate Brokerage Course.
