How Do I Pass The Florida Real Estate Broker Exam?

At MLS Campus, we recommend you take your state exam 3-5 days after the completion of your 72-hour pre-license broker course. Please remember, before you can take your Florida real estate broker state exam, you must have your application for licensure approved by Florida State. Pearson Vue, the testing vendor, will be notified by DBPR, once your application has been approved.

NOTE: You must bring your printed course completion certificate with you, to be permitted to take the test.

How Hard Is The Florida Real Estate Broker Exam?

The Florida real estate broker state exam tests your knowledge of your broker pre-licensing course, so we advise you to keep revising your reading assignments, and taking as many practice exams as you can in order to pass the rigorous Florida broker real estate exam. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Licensing describes the exam as challenging. So, practice and prepare as much as you can before you sit your state exam. Also, if you are a broker from out of state, and you have not already taken the 63hr pre-license course, or it has been a few years since taking the sales associate course, we also recommend taking the 63hr pre-license sales associate review course. 30% of the questions on the broker real estate state exam, comes from knowledge of the 63hr pre-licensing sales associate course.

How Many Times Can You Retake The Florida Broker Real Estate Exam?

If you fail the Florida state licensing exam, you may retake it as many times as necessary, at a cost of $57.75 each time, as soon as you can make a new appointment. Scheduling your exam must be made through Pearson View online at the Pearson Vue website, or by calling (888) 204-6289.

How Long Do I Have To Complete The Real Estate Broker Exam?

You are permitted 3.5 hours to complete your Florida real estate broker exam.

What Do I Need To Bring To The Florida Real Estate Exam?

  • Two forms of identification: one must be government-issued (Driver’s license, passport, green card, U.S. social security card, debit, or credit card). A student ID, employment ID, or Photo bearing credit cards will not be accepted as picture bearing identification. Your name and address must match the information on your application form.
  • Florida Division of Real Estate Authorization Notice (if received prior to testing), a copy of your Certificate of Pre-licensing Education Completion, Florida Bar Card, and or Letter of Equivalency from Division of Real Estate. If the original was mailed to the Division of Real Estate or the Department of Business and Professional Regulation with the authorization application, you must bring a photocopy.
  • Word-for-word dictionary: if English is your second language. This must be a paper dictionary, only word for word or phrase translation, no definitions. All dictionaries will be inspected and approved onsite.
  • Basic (non-scientific) calculator.
