Is the Virginia Broker Exam Hard?
Most candidates find the broker exam more challenging than the salesperson test because it covers advanced topics such as brokerage management, appraisal analysis and complex finance. Completing multiple practice exams and receiving real‑time feedback helps you become comfortable with the exam format and question style. MLS Campus’ program simulates the actual testing environment so that you know what to expect on exam day.
Is the Virginia Broker Exam Open Book?
No. The Virginia real estate broker exam is closed‑book. Study guides, notes, textbooks and calculators with programmable or scientific functions are not permitted. PSI’s candidate information bulletin lists the exact items you may bring into the test center.
Top Tips to Pass Your Virginia Broker Exam
- Master your course material. Thoroughly review the 180‑hour pre‑licensing curriculum, which consists of the four required 45‑hour courses in real estate appraisal, brokerage, finance and law. A solid foundation in these subjects will reduce stress and prepare you for more advanced exam questions.
